You Can Become a Better Speaker
The Most Successful People are not Always the Smartest People. But they have one thing in common: they communicate well.
Their manner, approach, style, and structure create a connection with their audience – a connection that enables them to move the audience to action. By speaking with confidence, they instill confidence in their listeners. When a speaker projects doubt, it creates doubt in the minds of the audience. Unfortunately, what may come across as doubt may simply be a lack of preparation or a poorly structured talk.
If you want go faster, go alone. If you want to go further, go together.
Benefit From My 25 Years of Public Speaking Experience
During this time, I’ve had the opportunity to study great communicators – both in person and through books. Honestly, some are just naturals. They were born to communicate. Speaking in front of crowds come as natural to them as throwing a baseball does to others.
Then there are the great communicators who made themselves great communicators through trial and error, and putting into practice the best principles of communication. They practice, practice, practice. They are open to feedback and are willing to make changes.
Whether it comes naturally or from hard work, successful communication follows a fairly predictable pattern. Once you discover that pattern and master it, you will be well on your way to success.
How do I like to work?
The best place to start is by exchanging an email or two. This allows us to both determine if I’m the right coach for your needs. Once we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule an in-person meeting at a site that is convenient for both of us. At this first meeting, we’ll get to know one another, determine a plan of action, and set a frequency of meetings.
What experience do I bring to the coaching environment?
Great question! My education includes undergraduate and graduate work in history and theology. Each weekend I speak to hundreds of people and have done so for over 25 years. More so, I have dedicated my life to studying great communicators. My background includes experience as a pastor, public speaker, adjunct professor, life coach, and entrepreneur. This includes founding my own company and starting a new church. I also serve on the board of directors for four non-profits.
What payment options are there?
I’ll bring a PayPal credit card reader to each of our meetings. It simply plugs into my iPhone and allows you to use any credit or debit card you want to use for payment. Rates are based on the length and frequency of our meetings.
