Healing Power of Jesus (video)

By Church, Preaching
When I was lost and wandering in the months after my mom’s passing, it wasn’t a good teacher that began the process of healing my heart. As we’ve seen in our journey through the New Testament book of Hebrews, Jesus was much more than just a good teacher. It doesn't matter whether our pain is self-inflicted or imposed on us by others. It is through Jesus we experience the healing power of God.Watch more videos at the Mountainview YouTube channel. Looking for a Speaking Coach? Jesus Speaks for God (video)

By Church
Jesus was an unlikely spokesman for God. He came from a nondescript family. He didn’t have the educational credentials that typical rabbis had. It’s understandable why the religious elite would either overlook or dismiss Jesus. But rather than speak to us through intermediaries such as prophets, God chose to speak to us directly through his son. Jesus himself understood that he was speaking at the direction of God: “For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken. I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say” (John 12:49-50).Watch more videos at the Mountainview YouTube channel. Act Justly (video)

By Church
There is a limit to what religious rituals alone can accomplish. What God really wants is not your herd of cattle. He wants your heart. He wants his people to live in a way that reflects his character.Watch more videos at the Mountainview YouTube channel. Looking for a Speaking Coach? How Leaders Absorb Chaos

By Leadership
2020, the year of COVID-19, racial unrest, economic challenges, and political uncertainty. In other words, the year of chaos. Any leader who leads long enough will eventually encounter a period of chaos - it might last a few minutes or even days. Every now and then, it might even last for an extended season. In the normal course of life and leadership, moving forward means tackling challenges or overcoming obstacles. What about chaos? Training, education, and experience can help prepare you for the common challenges and obstacles an organization might face -- financial, staffing, etc. In many cases, challenges and obstacles (while tough) often follow predictable patterns or share common characteristics. Chaos is, well, chaotic. As we've learned in 2020, chaos is unpredictable. It shifts for no reason, stopping and starting when it wants to. It is more likely to creep up on you than to raise warning flags along…
