It might be a bad boss, the poor economy, or how they were raised. Self-pity is sideways energy. It is wasted energy. No football team has ever advanced the ball forward by sitting at the line of scrimmage feeling sorry for themselves. You can cancel the pity party. You can take the time and energy you would have spent wallowing about life and apply it to winning in life. If you want to know the temperature outside your house, you look at the thermometer. If you want to set the temperature inside your house, you use the thermostat. A thermometer reflects its environment. A thermostat controls its environment. If you want to see positive changes happen in your life, you have to first accept the responsibility of being a thermostat.
