Everyday Faith (Video)

By Church
This is the first part of a three-week study of the practical theology found in Titus. Paul has left Titus on the island of Crete for the purpose of establishing a church there. Paul is concerned that the new church live exemplary lives among their pagan neighbors. When we speak of the gospel, we have to recognize that there is a true gospel and a false gospel. The pagan influences that surrounded Titus and the church posed a real threat to the successful establishment of the church. The modern church must also be discerning when it comes to a true or false gospel - especially when American values may clash with biblical values.Watch more videos at the Mountainview YouTube channel. Simple Steps to Change – Be Nice

By Leadership
Personally, I believe in the wisdom of the Golden Rule: treat other people the way you want to be treated. More often than not, it works. When I treat people kindly, they tend to treat me with kindness. Are there exceptions? Of course, and that is why we have lawyers, learn about this in these legal news online. When I treat others in accordance with my highest self, I find my own energy lifted and I benefit from the increased energy of others. TAKE ACTION: See each person you encounter today as an extension of yourself. Treat them the way you would want to be treated. Simple Steps to Change – Stop Doing One Thing

By Leadership
In our modern world, we are busier than ever. However, I'm not convinced that we are necessarily more productive. In fact, energy favors simplicity over complexity (remember the laser). Instead of adding one more thing to your "to do" list, create a "stop doing" list. Are their things you are doing that someone else can (and should be) doing? Are you trying to do too much and not anything well? When you say "no" to something, it's good to remember that you are also saying "yes" to something you feel is more important. QUESTION: What is one thing you can stop doing today? Simple Steps to Change – Be Grateful

By Leadership
Science has proven what the spiritual literature has known for thousands of years - gratitude is good for you. Gratitude raises your energy level by reminding your inner spirit that there are good things in your life. Gratitude is also a natural negativity blocker. It is impossible to hold a negative thought while simultaneously thinking a positive thought. TAKE ACTION: Don't just say "thank you" today. When you have the chance, add an amplifier. Say, "Thank you for your outstanding service" instead of a simple "thank you." Do that a few times and write in your journal how the other person reacted and how it made you feel.
