To All People

By Church
God’s intent for the church is for it to be a place for all people. Although it began among Jewish believers in Jerusalem, God designed the church to be for all people. Jesus tells his disciples that they will be his witnesses at home and around the world. This also includes places (and people) they would normally avoid – like Samaritans. Revelation 7:9-10 captures the heart of God when it describes “a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.” The modern, 21st century church must continue to pursue God’s desire to bring together all people.Watch more videos at the Mountainview YouTube channel. The New Community

By Church
The first church was characterized by a strong sense of community. Whether they were learning together, worshiping together, serving together, or eating together … they did it together. When Feeling Overwhelmed, Focus on What You Can Control

By Church, Leadership
As human beings, we like to be in control. There is a (not-so-small) part of us that wants to know every detail and to have every answer ... about every problem ... every single time! In dealing with the current realities of COVID-19, I'm reminded that there are two types of situations in life: Those that we can control Those that we cannot control Since it's human nature to want to be in control, it's easy to get anxious about the things we cannot control. We worry about what the weather will be like in two weeks or if there will be long security lines at the airport. In reality, we cannot control the weather or how many other people might be traveling. The more we focus on the things we cannot control, the more anxious and overwhelmed we will feel. But that doesn't mean there aren't things we do…
