Often times God forgives us before we forgive ourselves. When we allow ourselves to experience God’s forgiveness, we experience true freedom. Daniel practiced the spiritual discipline of prayer without regard to prevailing public opinion or political status. He courageously maintained his discipline of prayer even though doing so meant being thrown into the lion’s den. Daniel gave God full credit for delivering him from the lions, expressing confidence in God’s deliverance of faithful servants.
