What’s happening with the Hensleys?

Tomorrow will be my last day at Blue Haven Pools and Spas. For the last two years I have worked there as the Ecommerce Manager for the retail division. You might think I only sell chlorine - and you would be partly correct. Besides pushing pool chemicals, I have overseen all aspects of the online retail operation. Web design and development, SEO, Google PPC, email marketing, pricing, promoting, social media, and even Twittering. During this time I've had the privilege of managing four different employees, two of whom I'll be leaving behind. If I believed in cloning, I'd replicate them. My boss for the last two years has been the president of our company. Fair, hard-working, and fun. we have a forwarding address

We had one goal in mind when we travelled this week to Highlands Ranch: to return to San Diego with a forwarding address.  In prepping for the trip, I noticed there's not an abundance of rental homes in Highlands Ranch -- even fewer that were within the range of what we wanted to spend on rent.  At one house, we toured the house at the same time as two other couples toured the house ... and even more were scheduled an hour later.  We submitted an application for the house only to have someone else submit one before us.  Another house we were scheduled to view cancelled a few hours beforehand because the house had just been rented. Our prayer for the last few weeks has been for God to provide the right house, in the right neighborhood, with good friends and a good school for the girls.  With that…

winding down, ramping up

I'm in the in-between. That's the season of life where God's next move is anticipated but not realized. Multitasking comes in handy because I'm trying to wind down our San Diego time and trying to make plans for our move to Denver. In some ways it is an awkward season; maybe it's just more dramatic but not different than otheer seasons of life. I have two goals: to finish well and start strong. One works into the other.
